Cape Coral is considered a "Canal City" because the founders of it dug a whole bunch of canals which a lot of them connect to the ocean or to the huge freshwater river between us and fort myers. So the Giles have caught catfish and even a turtle. They see Gators from time to time. It's so different from Utah!
Our other Less Active (Sister Wood) often sees manatees and otters in the canal by her house.
